From May 20 to 23, 2025, the 2025 the Belt and Road Youth Outdoor Sports Challenge hosted by the Foreign Sports Exchange Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau and other alliances was held in Jiangyin Feima Water City, Jiangsu Province. Four international students from countries along the the Belt and Road formed a team to participate in the competition. They performed well in interesting football, frisbee, rock climbing and other projects, and won the Most Vigorous Award, fully demonstrating the positive spirit of our international students.
In the fun football project, the players have a telepathic connection with each other, and every pass and shot is well-organized and well coordinated. During frisbee events and rock climbing competitions, both the precise arc of the frisbee in the air and the swift movements of both hands and feet during climbing showcase the skills and speed to the fullest.
During the break of the competition, strolling in the ancient town of Huishan, the unique features of the Jiangnan water town are presented to everyone like a slowly unfolding ink painting. The small bridge flowing water, white walls and black tiles, exude warmth and elegance everywhere. The many intangible cultural heritage techniques here, whether it is exquisite handicraft production or unique folk art exhibitions, deeply attract contestants to stop and watch, and savor them carefully.
As a key platform for deepening people to people and cultural exchanges along the the Belt and Road, this event is of great significance. It is like a vast and vibrant stage, where the brilliance of sports spirit such as hard work, progress, and unity shines brightly. The diverse civilizations of different countries and ethnic groups learn from each other and draw lessons from each other here. Our school has always attached great importance to the comprehensive quality cultivation of international students in China. We are well aware of the importance of sports events and cultural experiences for the growth of international students and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. We actively build various sports event platforms and high-quality cultural experience platforms. In the future, our school will steadfastly continue to uphold the concept of openness and inclusiveness, further strengthen our efforts in sports and cultural exchanges, actively promote exchanges and interactions between Chinese and foreign youth, and make the flower of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries bloom even more brilliantly and colorful.
