On April 25th, the overseas teaching team of Zhenghe Baochuan Workshop from Nanjing Vocational and Technical College of Transportation successfully completed the Brunei teaching and training task and returned to Nanjing smoothly. The core of this visit is to deepen cooperation in vocational education between China and Brunei. Through activities such as course training, enterprise research, and academic exchanges, high-quality international education services have been provided to Brunei's faculty, students, and business representatives, further enhancing the international influence of the college.
Professional teaching, deep integration of theory and practice. The teaching team conducted a series of specialized training sessions for teachers and students from Brunei National Institute of Technical Education (IBTE) and Laksamara Business School (LCB), focusing on topics such as international trade, e-commerce, and logistics information technology. Teacher Hao Zhongna used Overview of E-Commerce Development and International Trade Supply Chain Management as entry points to systematically sort out the latest trends in the industry and enhance students' practical abilities through simulation demonstrations; The courses International Marketing and International Trade Practice taught by Teacher Wu Xuan vividly illustrate market strategies and key points of trade operations through case analysis and interactive discussions. In addition, cross disciplinary lectures on the application of information technology in industry and international logistics industry trends have expanded the professional horizons of Brunei teachers and students and won widespread praise.
Chinese language+vocational skills, serving Chinese funded enterprises going global. While deepening professional teaching, the project innovatively constructs a Chinese+Vocational Skills integrated training system, providing customized training for 400 local youth and overseas employees of Chinese funded enterprises in Brunei. In response to the actual needs of institutions such as Beigang Group and Brunei Chinese Enterprises Association, the teaching team has designed course modules such as Cross border E-commerce Operations and International Trade Supply Chain Management to enhance students' practical abilities in cross-border trade, warehousing, and transportation management scenarios. Training not only helps Chinese enterprises solve the problem of localizing overseas talents, but also opens up new paths for Brunei youth to enter international enterprises for employment, achieving the sustainable cooperation goal of teaching people how to fish.
Collaboration between schools and enterprises to explore new paths for the integration of industry and education. During the trip, the teaching team conducted research in Brunei North Port Group and local universities. At the Enterprise Open Day event of Beigang Group, the team conducted a detailed investigation of the port operation management mode and exchanged opinions with the enterprise management on logistics talent cultivation; During the campus visits and course observations at IBTE and LCB, both parties discussed the construction of training bases, curriculum system development, mutual recruitment of teachers between schools and enterprises, and student internships and employment, laying the foundation for future cooperation.
Expand the project and create a benchmark for vocational education cooperation. Zhenghe Treasure Ship Workshop is one of the projects of Nanjing Transport Vocational and Technical College serving the the Belt and Road construction. At present, it is mainly to cooperate with Brunei and Uzbekistan, aiming to cultivate high-quality technical talents for the local through international curriculum output and skill standards, and help China's vocational education go global. This visit is another important practice for the college to promote international education in Southeast Asia, marking another solid step in the college's journey to build a world-class vocational college in transportation.
