On the afternoon of April 21st, the promotion meeting for improving the quality of education for international students studying in China was successfully held. Wen Aimin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, attended the meeting. The heads of the Party Committee Propaganda Department, Academic Affairs Office, and the second level colleges of Automotive Engineering, Transportation Management, and Electronic Information Engineering that recruit international students, as well as representatives of professional teachers, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the head of the Basic Teaching Department (International Cooperation and Exchange Office).
The meeting first reported on the relevant situation of the college's higher vocational education quality certification for international students in China in 2024. In response to the problems and deficiencies in our school's education for international students in China, targeted improvement measures were proposed, and the key content of the school's education quality monitoring for international students in China in 2025 was also clarified. At the seminar on revising the professional talent training plan for international students in the 2025 cohort, representatives from various secondary colleges shared their experiences in formulating such plans. They had lively discussions on how to optimize the curriculum system, strengthen the construction of the teaching staff, and enhance the practical abilities of international students, forming many valuable consensuses.
Vice Secretary of the Party Committee, Wen Aimin, made a concluding speech and put forward five requirements. Firstly, we must continue to carry forward the work style of self pressure and initiative. The school's proactive application to participate in the quality certification of higher vocational education for international students in China is adding pressure and taking the initiative. This work style is worth continuing to promote and learn from. Secondly, we need to strengthen the practical exploration of education for Chinese students studying abroad under the new situation. Efforts should be made to diversify the training methods for international students, in order to better adapt to the diverse national and diverse forms of education for international students in China. We must revise the professional talent training plan for international students studying in China with high quality. Each secondary college should focus on improving the quality of education for international students studying in China, summarize the experience of professional talent cultivation for international students in recent years, sort out existing problems and take them as the guide, highlight language training and skill development, and revise professional talent cultivation plans with high quality. Fourthly, we need to deepen cooperation between schools and enterprises to assist in the cultivation of international students. Secondary colleges should rely on school enterprise cooperation, highlight the combination of learning and application, expand the horizons of international students studying in China, and organize more practical activities for international students to participate in business ventures. We must optimize the education quality evaluation system for international students studying in China. We should develop clear and applicable professional training and evaluation requirements for international students in China based on their training objectives and development characteristics. Regular assessments and supervision should be conducted to ensure that the quality of education for international students in China is effectively improved.
The convening of this promotion meeting has further clarified the ideas, goals, and deployment of our school's education work for international students studying in China. The school will take this promotion meeting as an opportunity to continuously improve the quality of education for international students studying in China and promote international education to a new level.
