From February 17th to 26th, the Chinese Ministry of Education's Center for Cultural and People to People Exchange led a delegation of nearly 30 representatives from some domestic universities and enterprises to Laos, Thailand, and Kazakhstan for a 10 day exchange visit. Jiang Jun, a member of the university's Party Committee and Vice Dean, and Guo Rongmei, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and two other members of the delegation visited together.
During the visit and exchange to Laos, our school's delegation visited the Jingshi School unmanned aerial vehicle training room at the Barcelona Technical College and participated in the China Laos Cultural Exchange and International Industry Education Integration Promotion Conference. The meeting exchanged information on the implementation and phased achievements of the Chinese Ministry of Education's Humanistic Exchange and Economic Cooperation Project in Laos, as well as the future planning ideas for jointly promoting the international integration of industry and education in vocational education between China and Laos. It also listened to the opportunities for school enterprise cooperation and the demand for industrial talents shared by representatives of Chinese funded enterprises in Laos, as well as the learning experiences and gains of Laotian students studying abroad at the Economic Cooperation School in China. At the Lao Railway Vocational and Technical College, Jiang Jun, the vice president, and Xifeng Sibong, the vice president of the school, had in-depth exchanges on the feasibility of cooperation between Nanjing Transport Vocational and Technical College - Lao Railway Vocational and Technical College, and expressed the prospect of jointly exploring a new path for the integration of international industry and education in the field of China Laos railway and promoting people to people and cultural exchanges between China and Laos.
During the visit and exchange to Thailand, our school's delegation visited the Royal Institute of Technology in Lanna, Thailand, and held a meeting to promote cultural exchange and international integration of industry and education between China and Thailand with the acting president of Lanna Royal Institute of Technology, Uten Kannan, the second secretary of the Chinese Consulate General in Chiang Mai, Gu Jingjing, representatives of the board of directors of the Thai Federation of Industries and the Thai Fair Education Foundation, and representatives of teachers and students from Chinese and Thai universities. Vice Dean Jiang Jun, as a representative of the cooperating universities, highlighted the implementation of the Jingshi School (New Energy Vehicle Testing and Maintenance Technology) program jointly established with the Royal Institute of Technology of Lanna, Thailand, which includes cooperative education, talent cultivation, and international resource development. He pointed out that since the joint construction of the New Energy Vehicle Testing and Maintenance Technology World School by universities from both sides, fruitful achievements have been made in professional construction, student training, skills training, cultural exchanges and many other aspects. In 2024, the two universities were selected as the first batch of China ASEAN Thousand Schools Hand in Hand Program project schools. Song Peng, a student studying in China at the Royal Institute of Technology in Lanna, Thailand, shared his unforgettable learning and life experience at our university. The visiting delegation walked into the teaching site of Jingshi Academy (New Energy Vehicle Testing and Maintenance Technology) and personally felt the achievements of the construction of the new energy vehicle profession, especially the active exploration and practice in teaching content, practical platform, and international cooperation, which won wide praise from the visiting delegation.
During the exchange visit to Thailand, our school delegation also visited the Vocational Education Commission of the Thai Ministry of Education and participated in the China Thailand Cultural Exchange and International Industry Education Integration Exchange Promotion Conference; Visited the China Chamber of Commerce in Thailand, CATL Thailand factory, Royal Institute of Technology Tanyaburi in Thailand, and Chiang Mai University in Thailand, and had in-depth exchanges with government, universities, industry, and enterprises on topics such as the implementation of the Humanities Exchange and World Economy Project of the Chinese Ministry of Education's Sino Foreign Cultural Exchange Center and the development of international industry education integration in Sino Thai education.
During the visit and exchange in Kazakhstan, our university delegation visited Kazakhstan International University of Engineering and Technology and held a seminar on the integration of industry and education between China and Kazakhstan with the Education Consul of the Chinese Consulate General in Almaty and relevant department leaders of the university; Have friendly exchanges and communication with the relevant personnel of ZTE's office in Kazakhstan, and listen to ZTE's business and talent needs in promoting communication exchanges, cooperation, and technological innovation between China and Kazakhstan; Visited the IT University of Astana, Kazakhstan, and exchanged views with Kazakh universities on the theme of people to people exchanges and integration of industry and education between China and Kazakhstan under the framework of jointly building the the Belt and Road.
This time, our school delegation accompanied the official delegation of the Chinese Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education on a visit, actively responding to the needs of communication and cooperation between the government departments, educational institutions, and schools and enterprises of China Laos, China Thailand, and China Kazakhstan, deepening cultural exchanges and cooperation between China Laos, China Thailand, and China Kazakhstan, and strengthening the relationship between peer universities and enterprises, injecting effective vitality into the school's further promotion of vocational education going global work and promoting high-quality development of international education.
