On the afternoon of 29th October, a delegation of three persons, including Azimov Bector, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Engineering and Information Technology of Osh State University of Kyrgyzstan, and Geng Peng, Deputy Director of the International Division of the Nanjing University of Engineering, visited our university. Yuan Xi, member of the Party Committee and Director of the Party Committee Propaganda Department of the college, warmly received the visiting guests.
On behalf of NJITT, Ms Yuan warmly welcomed the visit of colleagues from Osh State University. She said that in April this year, the university and NUIST, Osh State University and other eight parties of university and enterprises jointly set up the Central Asia Industry-University-Research and Application Center, and achieved excellent results of cooperation, and she hoped that the visit of the Osh State University delegation could open a new round of communication and dialogue between the two universities and explore more space for cooperation.
The delagation visited the national virtual simulation training centre of road and bridge, the on-campus training bases of the School of Railway Transportation and the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of the university. Dean Azimov Bector also tried non-heritage topography himself, and Chinese and Kyrgyz teachers jointly created a piece of calligraphy and painting. The delegation of Osh State University spoke highly of the campus environment, the construction of training rooms and cultural heritage skills of the college and expressed their expectations for further deepening the cooperation between the two universities in the future.
Osh State University, founded in 1939, is in Osh, the second largest city of Kyrgyz Republic, and is the most comprehensive and largest comprehensive state university in Kyrgyzstan, with 17 faculties and departments, more than 3,000 teaching staff and 40,000 students.
