In the afternoon of September 12, Zhai Jinming, director of Vocational Education and Training Department of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), and his delegation came to our college to carry out the research on the construction of “Zhenghe College” and the transportation vocational education going abroad. Mr. Wen Aimin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, and Mr. Yuan Qian, Minister of Publicity, attended the seminar. The directors of international cooperation and exchange office, school of road, bridge and harbor Engineering, school of transportation management and relevant teachers attended the seminar.
Deputy Secretary Wen Aimin expressed his warm welcome to Mr Zhai Jinming and his delegation. He briefly introduced the basic school running situation and the current internationalization development of the school; he said that with the development of internationalization of education, vocational colleges and universities should set up the idea of running schools with an open mindset and an internationalized vision, so as to disseminate China's vocational education experience overseas, serve the enterprises to go abroad, and provide human resources and technical services for the enterprises going abroad; the college will take the “Zhenghe College” and a number of other overseas school running programs as the basis for the investigation and survey. NJITT will take “Zhenghe College” and a number of other overseas school-running projects as the starting point to further improve the international school-running level of the college and actively build the brand of “Vocational Education Going Out” of the transportation industry.
Director Zhai Jinming spoke highly of the school's positive exploration and achievements in internationalization. He suggested that the school's internationalization should be combined with the characteristics of transportation, and further explored and implemented in the aspects of deepening and realizing existing projects, broadening the new track of international cooperation, and coordinating and promoting the school's internationalization mechanism.
During the visit and investigation, Director Zhai Jinming and his delegation also visited the “Green Intelligent Transportation Construction Virtual Simulation Training Base”, the national virtual simulation training base of the college.
