On September 9, a delegation of 5 people from Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute of Uzbekistan, including Professor Berdiyorov, came to NJITT for exchange visits. Wang Daofeng, President of our college, and Wen Aimin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, warmly received the guests.
In the morning, Mr. Wen led the delegation to visit the automobile, logistics and railroad training rooms, as well as the national virtual simulation training bases and international students' study places. Prof. Berdiyorov and his delegation spoke highly of the construction of practical training places and the learning and living environment for international students, and expressed their strong expectation for further cooperation between the two schools in the future.
In the afternoon, the promotion meeting of “Zhenghe College” project of NJITT-JPI was held in room 321 Hongyi Building. Wang Daofeng, President of NJITT, and Prof. Berdiyorov, Director of JPI Gizak Science and Technology Park, attended the meeting. Deputy Secretary Wen Aimin presided over the meeting.
President Wang Daofeng expressed his warm welcome to Prof. Berdiyorov and his delegation, who are old friends from Uzbekistan. He said that since the establishment of “Zhenghe College - Treasure Ship Workshop” in 2022, the two sides have achieved fruitful results in professional construction, student training, teacher exchange, skill training, academic research and other aspects, and looked forward to deepening the cooperation in the future, making the program a famous brand of overseas education programs, and providing more human resources support for the industrial development of Uzbekistan and other countries along the “Belt and Road” in Central Asia. Prof. Berdiyorov expressed his gratitude to the college for the warm hospitality and thoughtful arrangements. He said that the smooth implementation of the “Zhenghe College” program between the two schools was due to the unremitting efforts of teachers from both sides, and that the teachers from NJITT went to Uzbekistan in 2023 to give lectures, which was highly praised by teachers and students from the Uzbekistan side. The delagation left a deep impression on the construction of the training room of NJITT, and we look forward to more innovative explorations in the future of the “Zhenghe College” program between the two schools.
In a warm atmosphere, President Wang Daofeng issued certificates of appointment of academic tutors to five experts and teachers of Prof. Berdyorov and his team, and presented souvenir gifts with the characteristics of the regional culture of Nanjing.
After the welcome ceremony, YuanQian, Minister of Propaganda of Party Committee, presided over the discussion and exchange. The two sides had a warm discussion on the construction of specific professional disciplines of JPI, the progress of the preliminary project, the future industrial development of Jizak region and other specific issues, and reached a basic consensus on the direction of further cooperation in the future.
Participants in the seminar included the heads of JEP, international cooperation department and visiting teachers of JPI, responsible comrades of School of Automotive Engineering, School of Transportation Management, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and representatives of some teachers who went to Uzbekistan for lectures.
