In order to further deepen the cooperation and exchange between the college and ASEAN countries, at the invitation of the Southeast Asian Minister of Education to organize the Regional Center for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (SEAMEO VOCTECH), Vice Dean Liu Xuefen and a delegation of six went to Brunei to carry out vocational education cooperation and exchange activities.
On June 25th, the Chinese Zheng He · Treasure Ship Workshop jointly built by the college and SEAMEO VOCTECH was officially unveiled. Mr. Xu Chu from the Political Department of the Chinese Embassy in Brunei, Ms. Liu Xuefen, Vice Dean of the college, and Mr. Norjemee Jenek, Director of SEAMEO VOCTECH, attended the unveiling ceremony. Both parties have reached consensus on the development of modern logistics management professional group course resources, the use and promotion of international standards, the construction of international teaching staff, and Chinese+skill training, and have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and exchange. The unveiling ceremony was reported by mainstream official media in Brunei and attracted widespread local attention.
During the visit, Vice Dean Liu Xuefen and his delegation conducted in-depth research and exchanges with the Beibu Gulf International Port Group, a going out enterprise. The school and enterprise had in-depth discussions on international talent cooperation, technical skills training, and technical support services, and visited and comforted graduating alumni working in Brunei.
The delegation also went to Brunei National Institute of Technical Education, Lakshamara Business School, International School of Business and Technology and other universities for exchanges and discussions on international talent cultivation, course credit recognition, teacher-student exchanges, and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
This event is a new highlight of the college's expansion of cooperation with Brunei in the field of vocational education, and also a beneficial attempt to promote the construction of Nanjing and Srigaba Bay as an international friendly city. The college will take this opportunity to further strengthen the cooperation in the field of vocational education between the two countries, expand people to people and cultural exchanges, promote people to people exchanges and cultural mutual learning between the two countries, and contribute to the wisdom of Nanjing Jiaotong College for the joint construction of the the Belt and Road partner.
