On March 22nd, the unveiling ceremony of the Chinese+Skills base between China and Laos and the International Symposium on Industry Education Integration were grandly held in Conference Room 223 of the Hongyi Building of the college. Saikang Pantaong, Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, Yu Weidong, Second level Researcher of the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, Saisamon Engamsi, Dean of the Babasa Technical College in Laos, Wang Daofeng, Dean of the College, and Xue Wei, Director of Foreign Affairs of Beijing Huasheng Economic and Trade attended the event. Representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, School Enterprise Cooperation Office, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Road, Bridge and Port Engineering, School of Rail Engineering, and Laotian international students participated in the exchange and discussion. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Liu Xuefen.

Dean Wang stated that the unveiling of the Chinese+Skills base and the source base for Laotian international students is an important achievement of complementary advantages and resource sharing between China and Laos. The establishment of the Chinese+Skills base is a new beginning for the two schools to find the right fit and promote win-win cooperation. On behalf of the school's party and government, he expressed his full support for the cooperation between the two sides in skills training, professional standards, curriculum resources, and teacher team construction, and contributed the strength of Nanjing Jiaotong University to the Babasa Technical College and vocational education in Laos.
The Dean of the Technical College of Barcelona, Saisamon Engamsi, expressed sincere gratitude to the college for its warm reception. He introduced the educational situation of the Babasa Technical College and was full of confidence in the subsequent inter school cooperation and development, such as the joint construction of a source base for Laotian international students. He believed that the cooperation between the two schools in student training, professional construction, cultural exchanges, and other fields would further deepen and achieve fruitful results.
Xue Wei, Director of Foreign Affairs at Huasheng Jingshi, warmly congratulated Nanjing Jiaotong University and Babasa Technical College in Laos on the unveiling of the Chinese+Skills base for China and Laos, and stated that Huasheng Jingshi will continue to play a corporate role and actively help Chinese and Laos universities jointly build the Chinese+Skills base, empowering international Chinese education and providing new solutions for promoting vocational education's going global.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Deputy Director Saikang Pantaong and Researcher Yu Weidong unveiled the plaque for the Chinese+Skills base in China and Laos. Dean Wang Daofeng and President Saisamon Engamsi signed a friendly cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties and unveiled the plaque for the source base of Laotian international students.
Saikang Pantaong, Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Department of the Ministry of Education and Sports of Laos, congratulated the successful unveiling of the Chinese+Skills base and the International Conference on Industry Education Integration for Educators in Laos, and highly praised the efforts and achievements made by Nanjing Jiaotong University in promoting Chinese+Vocational Skills. He stated that the demand for high-quality technical and skilled talents in Laos is increasing day by day. The establishment of the Chinese+Skills base between China and Laos is a practical action to deepen vocational education cooperation between the two countries. He hopes to promote international education cooperation between the two countries to a new level through this cooperation. The Lao government will strongly support the international education cooperation between Nanjing Jiaotong University and Babasa Technical College.
Yu Weidong, a second level researcher at the Foreign Cooperation Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, highly praised the achievements of the college's international cooperation and exchange work and stated that the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Provincial Department of Education actively creates conditions to provide a cooperation and exchange platform for Chinese and foreign universities, and promotes close communication and cooperation between the school and foreign enterprises. I hope that with the joint support and promotion of the Technical and Vocational Education Department of the Ministry of Education of Laos and the provincial department, the two schools can seek development through mutual trust and cooperation, sincerely assist and meet challenges, innovate and cultivate talents in multiple majors such as automotive repair machinery, electronic information technology, and mechanical engineering, develop vocational education standards and teaching resources, and jointly promote the development of vocational education in China and Laos.
After the meeting, the attending guests jointly visited the virtual simulation training center, some professional training rooms, and international student classrooms of the college, focusing on in-depth exchanges and discussions on majors such as automotive inspection and maintenance, new energy vehicle technology, road and bridge engineering technology, and rail transit signal control.
Vice Director Saicon Pantaon and his delegation highly appreciated the advanced training facilities and mature education management system of the college.
