On the afternoon of March 4th, the fourth round of rectification work for the quality certification of higher vocational education for international students studying in China was held at 414 Mingde Building. Representatives from secondary colleges and relevant departments, as well as all personnel from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Yuan Qian, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
The attendees analyzed the weaknesses in professional teaching, course assessment, internship training, and graduation thesis in the current management of international student education, based on the previous material review. They also had in-depth discussions on how to further improve the quality of international student education management, improve teaching methods, archive and manage teaching materials, graduation thesis, and other document materials.
The meeting requires all responsible departments to once again benchmark the Quality Standards for Higher Education of International Students in China and Quality Certification Standard System for Higher Education of International Students in China, further improve existing materials, and determine recent rectification tasks such as construction of education management system for international students, improvement of talent training programs for international students, teaching materials for international students, and graduation theses for international students.
The attendees unanimously stated that they will strictly benchmark against the Norms, effectively implement rectification tasks, enrich and improve relevant materials, and further summarize and condense the characteristics of talent cultivation for international students in China, focusing on comprehensive transportation majors, and improving the quality of talent cultivation for international students in China.
