In order to effectively enhance the safety awareness of international students in our school and strengthen the safety management of international students during winter vacation, the college held a winter vacation safety education lecture for international students on the morning of January 23rd. All staff members of the joint venture, homeroom teachers for international students, and students studying abroad attended this lecture. The special lecture will be hosted by Yuan Qian, the director of the National Cooperation Office.
This safety education lecture mainly focuses on cold prevention and health safety, traffic safety, fire prevention, stampede prevention, and strengthening self-protection, and combines practical cases to remind international students that safety is not a trivial matter and to continuously improve their personal safety awareness.
At the safety education meeting, each class teacher provided guidance on the arrangement of school holidays for international students, hoping that they can plan and make full use of their vacation time, identify and fill in any deficiencies in their subjects, and strive to pass the HSK4 exam as soon as possible. They should do a good job in self-management, learn more about fire safety, property safety, personal safety, etc., strictly abide by school rules and regulations, and improve their self-protection awareness.
Yuan Qian from the National Cooperation Office requires all staff to do a good job in all aspects of duty during the winter vacation, and to do a good job in safety protection with dedication, emotion, and effort. One should pay attention to the psychological state of students, understand their needs, and promptly solve their problems. Secondly, it is necessary to investigate the hygiene and safety hazards of electricity and water in dormitories, always tighten the safety string, and build a strong safety defense line. Thirdly, we need to strengthen students' self-management and self-restraint, consciously abide by safety rules, and firmly adhere to safety bottom lines. We must strictly implement the relevant work regulations of the school, be good at identifying and promptly dealing with potential and biased issues, ensure safety and stability, and safely pass the winter vacation.
After the briefing, all personnel went deep into the study abroad room to conduct safety checks and understand the current living conditions and psychological status of the international students, in order to address their actual needs on site.
The International Cooperation and Exchange Office has always attached great importance to safety education for international students. Through measures such as holding safety education lectures, conducting dormitory safety inspections, and implementing strict holiday duty systems, it continuously enhances the safety awareness of international students. At the same time, the State Cooperation Office actively communicates and coordinates with departments such as the Student Affairs Office, Logistics Office, Security Office, and Information Management Office, strengthens departmental linkage, and ensures smooth learning and happy life for international students during winter vacation.
