On December 29th, the 2023 annual meeting of the Foreign Student Education Management Research Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Association was held in Zhenjiang. Officials from the Provincial Department of Education, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Provincial People's Government, the Exit Entry Administration Bureau of the Provincial Public Security Department, the Provincial Association for Retention Management, and more than 200 university representatives attended the meeting.
Vice Dean Liu Xuefen of the college led a team, and relevant personnel from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of Transportation Management attended the meeting. The college was awarded the title of Advanced Collective in Education for International Students in Jiangsu Province in 2023. Lin Rong, Vice Dean of the School of Transportation Management, was invited to share his experience in promoting the Three Education Reforms of Foreign Trade Document Practice course based on the convergence of teaching for international students.
In 2023, the college actively responded to the entry management policies for international students under the new situation, implemented the spirit of the Provincial Education Foreign Affairs Work Conference, continued to promote the work of international students, adhered to the balance of scale and quality, and made every effort to promote the Study Abroad Exchange Program, benchmarking and promoting projects such as Luban Workshop, Zhenghe College, Bangladesh Overseas Chinese Language and Culture Center, Jiangsu Province International Brand Major, and Chinese+Vocational Skills, The innovative implementation of dual degree education+undergraduate and vocational joint training education and teaching for international students has successfully improved the level of international student training, optimized the quality of international student education and teaching, steadily expanded the scale of international student training, and maintained a good trend of international cooperation and exchange brand projects.
The college adheres to the innovative language+culture+skills three in one talent cultivation model for international students, constructs a full staff, full process, and comprehensive three in one personality education bureau, cultivates high-quality technical and skilled talents who are proficient in language, knowledgeable in culture, and knowledgeable in technology, actively organizes international students to participate in professional technical skills competitions, such as the Chinese+Logistics Vocational Skills international competition and the Jiangsu Province International Student Teaching Observation Competition The 9th China International Internet plus Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the China ASEAN Transport Vocational Education Alliance International Student Professional Skills and Talent Exhibition Competition, and the China ASEAN Smart Logistics International Invitational Competition won several awards.
The selection activity for the advanced collective of international students from Jiangsu Province in China has been carried out through various stages such as unit application, organization recommendation, and expert comprehensive evaluation. A total of 35 Jiangsu Province Advanced Collective of Education for International Students in China have been selected, and only 7 vocational colleges have been selected. This is also the second time our school has been awarded the title of Jiangsu Province Advanced Collective of Education for International Students in China since 2022.
