On the afternoon of November 21st, Shali Tanati, the President of Kazakhstan University of Transportation and Logistics, and a delegation of six people came to the university for exchange and visit. The Dean of the university, Wang Daofeng, and Vice Dean, Liu Xuefen warmly welcomed the visiting guests.
Dean Wang warmly welcomes the visit of Sally Tanati and her delegation. He introduced the history of the establishment of the college, the construction of professional groups, and the progress of international cooperation and exchange projects. He stated that China and Kazakhstan are good neighbors and partners connected by mountains and rivers. The college has a high degree of matching with Kazakhstan University of Logistics and Transportation in terms of educational positioning and professional construction. He looks forward to more substantive cooperation between the two universities on the basis of preliminary exchanges.
Sally Tanati thanked the college for its warm reception and warmly congratulated Nanjing Jiaotong University on its 70th anniversary. She briefly introduced the founding history, campus distribution, discipline construction, and international cooperation and exchange of Kazakhstan University of Logistics and Transportation. She stated that in May this year, the two schools signed a friendly cooperation framework agreement, hoping to use this visit as an opportunity to promote in-depth cooperation between the two schools in areas such as dual degree education, teacher-student visits, and teacher training.
After the meeting, the visiting guests visited the on campus training bases of the School of Automotive Engineering, School of Transportation Management, and School of Rail Transit. President Sally Tanati and her delegation highly praised the school's level of education and expressed strong expectations for further deepening cooperation between the two schools in the future.
Officials in charge of the School of Transportation Management and the School of Rail Transit, as well as staff from the National Joint Office, attended meetings and discussions.
