On the afternoon of November 13th, the inaugural ceremony for the 2023 international students of the college was grandly held in Room B203 of the library. The Party Secretary Zhang Yi and Vice President Liu Xuefen attended the ceremony. The heads of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Academic Affairs Office, and Student Affairs Office, as well as representatives of the leadership team and teachers of the School of Automotive Engineering, School of Transportation Management, and School of Electronic Information Engineering, as well as all staff of the National Cooperation Office and all 2023 international students attended the ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice Dean Liu Xuefen.
The activity adopts a combination of online and offline methods. Teacher representative, Professor Zhu Shanshan from the School of Transportation Management, expressed welcome to the 2023 freshmen and stated on behalf of the teacher team that they will carefully plan the curriculum and organize teaching to help international students grow in education and teaching. Jicha Chaitanu, Dean of the School of Engineering at the Royal Polytechnic University of Lana, Thailand, stated that the first overseas teaching team of Nanjing Jiaotong University has successfully completed the teaching task in Lana, Thailand. A new group of students majoring in new energy vehicle testing and maintenance technology have gone to the Jiaotong University to study, and we look forward to more joint achievements from both universities in the future.
Student representative, Indonesian international student Navita, spoke as a senior student representative. She shared the warmth and friendship she felt on campus during her entry and return to school, encouraged new students to understand Chinese culture, learn professional skills, make Chinese friends, and actively spread Chinese culture. New student representatives, Tajik international student Ibrahim, Uzbek student Abdak, and Izobek, thank the teachers for their meticulous teaching and meticulous care.
