Recently, the college held an online symposium for exchange students at Malaysia Polytechnic University in the autumn in Conference Room 414 of Minde Building. Relevant comrades from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the School of Road, Bridge and Port Engineering, the School of Transportation Management, the School of Electronic Information Engineering, and the School of Rail Transit conducted an exchange symposium with 8 exchange students from the School of Economics and Management at Malaysia Polytechnic University. The symposium was chaired by Yuan Qian, Director of the National Cooperation Office.
At the symposium, the China International Cooperation Office reported to various secondary colleges on the progress of foreign affairs procedures, airport pick-up reports and registration, dormitory arrangements, admission education, and various work after the official start of classes for exchange students at Mala University of Technology. Various departments exchanged and interacted on relevant issues such as students' living and studying abroad, education and teaching management.
During the meeting, the teachers inquired online about the recent learning and living conditions of 8 exchange students, as well as whether they had any difficulties and needed help. The exchange students shared their views and feelings on the campus environment, living environment, teaching methods, and other aspects of Malaysia, and expressed that they have now integrated into overseas learning and life. Although they have just started school for two weeks, they have been able to get along very well with local teachers and classmates, and can also integrate into the class collective in the classroom. In the future, they will also actively and deeply communicate and interact with local teachers and students, Truly apply the cross-cultural communication knowledge learned at the Jiaotong University to practice. In future studies, I will also connect with my domestic classmates and visit the campus of Malaysia Polytechnic University online to share the knowledge and skills I have learned in Malaysia.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the attending teachers affirmed the performance of the students and put forward requirements for them: firstly, they must abide by laws and regulations, strictly comply with foreign laws and regulations, and the specific requirements in the Commitment Letter of Foreign Affairs Discipline of Nanjing Transportation Vocational and Technical College, protect their own and property safety, and regularly contact their families and school teachers; Secondly, it is necessary to unite and assist each other, cultivate team awareness, pay attention to words, deeds, and appearance, and display a personal and school image with good qualities; The third is to study diligently, cherish the overseas high-quality university cooperation platform provided by the school, strengthen communication and learning with students from various countries in overseas universities, fully perceive multiculturalism, and improve professional skills and knowledge levels.
