In order to further expand the international perspective of teachers and students, effectively promote educational and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the school and overseas cooperative universities, and actively promote the integration of international high-quality educational resources and talent cultivation, the college organized student summer exchange and research activities in Malaysia and Macau, and achieved great success.
The Malaysian Summer Study Group began on July 31st, with 11 teachers and students conducting a 10 day study activity at Malaysia Polytechnic University. Students have studied applied international English courses, such as Small Dialogue Skills and Daily Communication Terms such as Booking and Ordering; Conducted communication and interaction with international student volunteers, jointly learning Correct Pronunciation, Listening and Drawing, and completed small games and English competition questions; I have studied traditional Malaysian dance and experienced hand drawn Batik, a local art quintessence; And presented Chinese cuisine, cities, and traditional festivals to Malaysian students through English PowerPoint presentations. During the study period, the students also visited Putrajaya, the administrative center of the Federation of Malaysia, the local architecture of Malaysia, the Sino Malaysian Friendly Tree Planting Square, the Zheng He Research Institute, the Zheng He Library, etc., learned about the the Belt and Road and the Maritime Silk Road, and experienced the magnificent feats of Zheng He's voyages to the West. The students' sense of time, teamwork, and English communication skills during their graduate studies have been highly praised by the school authorities of Mara University of Technology. Our college is the only vocational college that Mala Institute of Technology cooperates with, and this research activity has opened up a precedent for communication and cooperation between Mala Institute of Technology and universities at the junior college level.
The Macau Summer Study Group opened on August 10th, and six teachers and students went to Macau to carry out a 5-day cultural exchange activity. The research team visited the University of Macau and the City University of Macau, and participated in lectures on the theme of Urban Education in Macau; Experience and experience Macau culture, understand the unique cultural integration of Macau and foreign countries; Led by teachers and student volunteers, we visited the school's library, classrooms, dormitories, cafeterias and other characteristic buildings, immersing ourselves in the academic atmosphere of Macau's universities; Visited a series of historical sites such as the Macao Museum, the Macao Returning Ceremony Exhibition Hall, Mazu Temple, the Historic Center of Macao, etc., which stimulated students' enthusiasm for patriotism and the party, and enhanced their cultural confidence and institutional confidence.
The summer study abroad activities for students have been ongoing for 3 years. This year, based on the study in Macau, a new study in Malaysia has been added, which has a positive effect on further enhancing students' cross-cultural communication ability, cultivating their teamwork spirit, and promoting patriotism.
