In order to study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, strengthen the exchange and study between young teachers and students across the Taiwan Straits, and lead young students to bloom their youth in public welfare practice, the College jointly launched the 8th Cross Straits Youth Hands on Public Welfare Activity with Lunghwa University of Science and Technology, Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Economics and Trade, and Jiangsu Maritime Vocational and Technical College. The Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of Transportation Management overcame difficulties and actively organized teachers and students to participate in this public welfare activity.
The cross-strait youth collaboration public welfare activity was held at the Jiangning People's Special Children's Center in Nanjing. Teachers and students from the four schools across the Taiwan Strait visited and learned about the educational goals of the center to escort the growth of special children; Observing and learning special children's training and teaching, and engaging in close communication and interaction with special children through handicrafts, games, music, reading, and other methods. During the event, teachers and students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait also conducted detailed communication and docking on their participation in the center's volunteer service activities.
Teachers and students from four universities have felt the kindness and resilience of special children, and have expressed their hope to contribute their meager efforts to provide care and care for special children, reflecting the responsibility of young people in the new era in public welfare practices.
This event is a cross-strait brand event, providing a platform and opportunity for Taiwanese youth to have a close understanding of Nanjing's public welfare activities, building a carrier and bridge for cross-strait youth cultural practice activities, promoting exchanges and mutual learning between students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait, enhancing the integration and communication of cross-strait youth, and jointly practicing the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation's love and mutual assistance.
