On April 30th, students and leading teachers from the innovation class of New Energy Vehicle Testing and Maintenance Technology at the Lannaruban Workshop of NJITT and Thailand successfully entered China. Thai students began studying in China, marking the official entry of the 1+2+1 skill oriented undergraduate international students jointly trained by China and Thailand into the 2-year study phase at NJITT.
To help Thai teachers and students adapt to school life more quickly, on the afternoon of May 4th, the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the School of Automotive Engineering jointly held an exchange symposium for students. Professor Nawee, the representative of Thai teachers, Liu Yang, the Dean of the School of Automotive Engineering, Yuan Qian, the Director of the National Cooperation Office, and relevant staff participated in the exchange seminar.
At the meeting, Director Yuan Qian conveyed the welcome and greetings of the college leaders to Thai teachers and students, as well as the expectations and high expectations for the first innovation class students of Luban Workshop. She also expressed her hope to international students to correct their learning attitude, seize rare learning opportunities, master correct learning methods, and strive to grow into technical and skilled talents in Thailand's new energy vehicle industry, becoming ambassadors of friendly exchanges between China and Thailand.
Dean Liu Yang explained from the perspective of professional training the teacher allocation, professional course settings, and internship and training venue resources of the Luban Workshop Innovation Class. He stated that the training of Thai Innovation Class students will start from the perspective of skill oriented undergraduate training, focusing on theoretical depth and providing more practical training opportunities for everyone. He also welcomes Professor Nawee's guidance in class to promote communication between both parties.
Professor Nawee is the team leader for Thai international students coming to China this time. He expressed his honor to come to Nanjing Transportation Vocational and Technical College for exchange and study, and expressed gratitude for the warm reception and thoughtful arrangements of the college. He believes that students can learn professional knowledge and technical skills in new energy vehicles, and better serve the Thai industry and new energy vehicle industry in the future.
During the exchange and discussion, the China International Cooperation Office also introduced Professor Nawee and Thai students to the basic situation, curriculum arrangement, and relevant school rules and regulations of the college. They responded to the difficulties faced by Thai teachers and students in their study and life at Nanjing Jiaotong University, reminding them to carry out Perception of China courses and Chinese language learning while learning professional courses well, truly understand China, understand China, and deeply understand Chinese civilization. Thai students walked into the classroom and the new energy vehicle technology training room to communicate with the teachers face to face. The teacher from the School of Automotive Engineering introduced the knowledge of automotive parts to the students and demonstrated the practical training technology of new energy vehicles, which was unanimously praised by Thai teachers and students. The teacher-student interaction was good.
At the meeting, the college also distributed teaching materials, exercise books, and other learning materials to Thai students. The students expressed their commitment to making good use of these tools and making them a ladder for their learning progress.
