Language is the bridge of communication, and skills are the key to development. In 2022, the college conducted 5 types of training series on Chinese+Intelligent Logistics Technology for 11 ASEAN countries, cultivating nearly 2000 local employees of Chinese enterprises overseas, and receiving enthusiastic responses from overseas participants. On the afternoon of March 29th, the college's Chinese+Chinese Painting Skills series of training resumed. 479 foreign students from 22 countries, including Morocco, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Egypt, Kenya, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Pakistan, signed up to participate in this training.
Gao Youfei, from the Department of Humanities and Arts, served as the main lecturer for this training. Professor Gao first showed the students the studio's traditional Chinese painting works and the pens, ink, paper, and inkstones used to create Chinese painting. He also had a guessing interaction with the students on the functional role of painting tools. The students were enthusiastic about participating and marveled at the unique tools of Chinese painting. Teacher Gao mainly shared a special topic on Aesthetics of Chinese Painting Art, introducing the types of Chinese painting art, basic knowledge of Chinese painting, and aesthetic characteristics of Chinese painting. In the practical teaching session, Teacher Gao demonstrated the global animal top stream - Chinese painting of pandas on site. The adorable and naive panda instantly captured the hearts of the students across the screen. The students praised the lifelike nature of the painting and highly praised the teacher's painting skills. Some students even showed full interest in learning painting skills in China.
The Chinese+Chinese Painting Skills training fully responds to the interests and needs of overseas friends, providing an important channel for promoting the going out of China's excellent traditional culture and spreading the Chinese voice. It also plays an important role in enhancing the connection between Chinese and foreign people, promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning.
