In the afternoon of March 9, the Silk Road College series of lectures (the sixth lecture) of Nanjing Transportation Vocational and Technical College - transnational cultural experience and exchange activities were held in Room B203 of the library. The International Cooperation and Exchange Office specially invited Dr. Mollah Maruf, from the Bangladesh Chinese Language and Culture Center, as the keynote speaker of the event, and all the students of the Silk Road College attended.
Ma Shuai shared with the students the cultural shock he encountered in seven African countries: Kenya, Ethiopia, Namibia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Egypt and the solutions to adaptation from six perspectives, including time concept, clothing differences, language exchange, cross-cultural communication behavior, food customs and festival culture. We encourage you to be more familiar with international rules, understand multiculturalism, and strive to become technical and skilled talents who can participate in international affairs. The students said that through the Silk Road College series of courses, they have further broadened their international vision, cultivated their awareness of internationalization, and improved their ability to communicate and exchange transnational cultures.
The active atmosphere and the active participation of the students at the scene were highly praised by Dr. Mollah Maruf, and also showed the excellent demeanor of the students at Nanjing Jiaotong University. The students of the Silk Road College thank the school for the platform it has built. Through a series of cultural activities, they have greatly improved their international literacy and intercultural communication ability.
