On the afternoon of December 14, the inaugural meeting of the Alumni Branch of the College for International Students in China was held in the library B203. The meeting was held in a combination of online and offline. Zhang Yi, Dean of the College, and Zhou Chuanlin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, attended the meeting. Heads of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Student Affairs Office, relevant secondary colleges, teachers' representatives and alumni of overseas students at home and abroad attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the alumni representatives Wan Shuyi, Tia and Tina from the Lao, African and Indonesian Alumni Branches of International Students demonstrated their recent situation in their hometown through videos and speeches, reviewed the good times of their study and life in the Academy, and said that they would continue to be good ambassadors of Chinese and foreign friendship in the future. Through the platform of the Alumni Association, they would organize and serve the alumni of international students well with full enthusiasm.
At the founding meeting, Deputy Secretary Zhou Chuanlin introduced the development of the university, congratulated the overseas students on their achievements, and sent a deep message to the alumni: clear goals, down-to-earth; Keep enthusiasm and forge ahead actively; Don't forget the original intention and strengthen contact.
On behalf of the College, President Zhang Yi announced the establishment of the Alumni Association of Foreign Students in China. He pointed out that alumni are the most valuable resource of the University and the most reliable and reliable force for the development and construction of the University. He affirmed the reputation of the University brought by the outstanding performance of alumni, and expressed heartfelt congratulations on the establishment of the Alumni Association of Foreign Students in China and its vigorous development in the future.
Since 2017, our college has started to recruit foreign students to China, and has cultivated more than 100 outstanding graduates from countries along the the Belt and Road. Some of the alumni continue to study for degrees in China, and most of them work in going global Chinese transnational logistics enterprises, transportation engineering and other enterprises after returning home.
