In the afternoon of November 17, under the organization and coordination of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Transportation Management, the School of Automotive Engineering and the Jizak National Institute of Technology of Uzbekistan held an online academic seminar. Yuan Qian, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Jiang Jun, Dean of the Institute of Transportation Management, Lin Rong, Vice Dean, and representatives of teachers from the Institute of Transportation Management and the Institute of Automotive Engineering attended the academic seminar. Rahmatov Utkirjon, the head of the Institute of International Cooperation of Jizak National Institute of Technology, Mamayev, Gulam, the head of the Institute of Transport and Logistics, Askarov Ihtiyor, the head of the Department of Vehicle Engineering, and representatives of teachers in the fields of transport logistics and automotive engineering attended the meeting. The seminar was hosted by Ma Yaowen, School of Transportation Management.
Yuan Qian, the director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of the University, and Rahmatov Utkirjung, the director of the Institute of International Cooperation of Jizak National Institute of Technology, addressed the seminar respectively. The two sides briefly introduced the history and current situation of their respective schools, and proposed to strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in such aspects as mutual recognition of academic points, scientific research cooperation, exchange of teachers and students, and joint holding of academic seminars.
At the meeting, teachers from both sides expressed their own views on topics such as prospects and development of modern logistics, challenges and opportunities of new energy vehicle technology, and conducted in-depth exchanges on special projects such as curriculum setting, teaching methods, and curriculum outline discussion of modern logistics and new energy vehicle in combination with advantages and characteristics of their respective majors. The two sides believe that this online academic seminar has played a very positive role in deepening mutual understanding and promoting academic exchanges and cooperation between the two universities.
This seminar is one of a series of cooperation activities between Nanjing Jiaotong University and Jizak National Institute of Technology. It is not only another effective attempt of the college to conduct international exchanges in response to the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, but also an important measure to promote professional academic exchanges between Chinese and foreign teachers. It has laid an important foundation for the follow-up in-depth cooperation between the two schools, such as joint training of students, communication between logistics management professional groups and automobile service professional groups.
