On November 4, the 10th Academic Annual Meeting of the Joint Conference of Principals of Higher Vocational Education in Suzhou and Taiwan and the 7th Award Ceremony for Cross Strait Youth Joining Hands for Public Welfare was held in Nanjing. Jia Lili, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, was invited to attend the meeting and presided over the keynote report of the academic annual meeting. The heads of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the Office of Academic Affairs accompanied the participants. Representatives from 40 vocational colleges in Jiangsu and 40 science and technology universities in Taiwan conducted in-depth exchanges on digital empowerment and cooperative development of higher vocational colleges across the Straits through cloud connection.
Secretary Jia congratulated the educators of higher vocational colleges in Suzhou and Taiwan on the cloud event, and highly praised the exchange platform for the joint meeting of the presidents of higher vocational education in Suzhou and Taiwan. Focusing on the theme of Digital Enabling Cooperative Development, the forum focused on the practical exploration of professional talent training for vocational undergraduate education, the strategy and practical path of Sino foreign cooperative development of higher vocational colleges, the training mode of higher vocational talents in the context of digital economy, the construction of intelligent enabling professional groups of big data time algebra, enabling regional economy to lead the intelligent upgrading of small, medium and micro manufacturing industries and other core issues, The invited experts discussed and shared with the headmaster, which has a good reference for the development of vocational education in Sutai.
At the same time, the 7th Award Ceremony for Cross Strait Youth Joining Hands for Public Welfare was held. Students from both sides of the Taiwan Straits thought, created, exchanged and practiced together around the theme of public welfare and environmental protection. As one of the host universities, our college has jointly undertaken the organization and selection of this cross-strait youth exchange activity. A total of 77 works were selected and submitted for participation, including one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and several excellent awards.
It is reported that the academic annual conference of the joint conference of the presidents of higher vocational education in Suzhou and Taiwan has been held for ten times so far, aiming to build a high-level and normalized exchange and cooperation platform for the development of higher vocational education across the Taiwan Straits with the joint conference of the presidents, help promote the cooperation of higher vocational education across the Taiwan Straits, enhance the friendship between the youth in Suzhou and Taiwan, and have become a bright card for educational exchanges across the Taiwan Straits.
