In mid-to-late August, 17 outstanding students from the college participated in the Cultural Exchange Activities for Jiangsu University Students in Macao, China in the Summer of 2022 organized by the Jiangsu Education International Exchange Association. Excellent, the 5-day cultural exchange activity was a complete success.
This summer student study activity in Macau is the main measure of the college to explore the improvement of students' international vision under the epidemic. Under the care and guidance of the school's party and government leaders, the activity was successfully organized by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and the second-level colleges.
The International Cooperation and Exchange Office hosted a pre-departure meeting before the summer vacation and before the students departed. The pre-departure meeting was chaired by Yuan Qian, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office. Deputy Secretary Zhou Chuanlin attended the pre-trip meeting and delivered a speech. He congratulated and placed high expectations on the 17 outstanding students, and put forward clear requirements in terms of political and legal systems, safety and prevention awareness, matters needing attention in study and life, and epidemic prevention and control.
The International Cooperation and Exchange Office guides students in the handling of foreign-related procedures and the daily management of the research process, and introduces the pass application process in detail, reminds important time points to do things, tracks and monitors students' health, and provides all-round guidance and services for students to study abroad. Leaders and teachers in charge of student work from each secondary college attended the pre-trip meeting and made speeches on the discipline and safety requirements for students to travel.
In this study and exchange activity, the students visited the University of Macau and the City University of Macau successively, experienced being a student of the University of Macau for a day, and enhanced understanding and friendship with the students. At the City University of Macau, I listened to Professor Wang Guifan's special lecture on Macau culture, and learned about Macau's unique customs and cultural characteristics. The students also visited the St. Paul's, the Macao Handover Gifts Exhibition Hall, the Macao Museum, and the Macao Science Museum, exploring the frontiers of Macao's history, culture and technological development. In front of the St. Paul's, one of the iconic buildings in Macau, the students sang My Motherland and Me together with students from the University of Macau.
During the exchange activities, the students combined with students from different colleges and majors, communicated and learned from each other, and gained friendship. On August 21st, the organizer of the event set up a platform for students to communicate and exchange, prepared surprises for the four birthday students in the group, and sent cakes and birthday wishes to the students. The warm and harmonious atmosphere made this study tour The trip is even more memorable. The students expressed that this exchange activity has broadened their horizons and increased their knowledge. They hope to have the opportunity to participate in more overseas exchange and learning activities in the future, continue to learn and improve themselves.
