YueJiang Tower, located at the top of Lion Hill in Gulou District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is situated on the bank of Yangzi River; it was repaired in 1374 by Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of the Ming Dynasty, and the current building was completed in September 2001; it is famous for YueJiang Tower written by Song Lian, a literary scholar in early Ming Dynasty, and is one of the ten most famous historical and cultural buildings in China.
The main wing faces north and the second wing faces west, and both wings can enjoy the scenery of Yangtze River; the main building is at the horns of the two wings, with a height of 52 meters, 4 floors in appearance and 3 floors in concealment, totaling 7 floors, with a total construction area of about 5,000 square meters. The two wings of the river reading building are decreasing in level with hipped roofs, the roofs are staggered, high and low, tumbling and changing; the roofs are covered with golden glazed tiles and set with green glazed tiles and edges, with bright colors.
The main building is 52 meters in height, with 4 floors in appearance and 3 floors in darkness, 7 floors in total, with blue tiles, vermilion pillars, and colorful Ying, with a distinctive classical royal style, typical of the Ming Dynasty royal architecture, with a total construction area of about 5,000 square meters.
The main building of the river reading tower, together with the big pagoda, the main gate, the monument gallery, etc., embodies the pavilion mood of blue tile and vermilion pillar, eaves and teeth into the air and fog, Zhu Lian Feng flies and the haze rolls, Tong Casement open and colorful, the whole building stands on the Chinese white jade Sumeru platform, with a distinctive Ming Dynasty classical royal style.
