Qinhuai River, a tributary of the lower right bank of the Yangtze River in China. It was called Longzangpu in ancient times, Huaishui from the Han Dynasty, and Qinhuai after the Tang Dynasty. The Qinhuai River has two sources from north to south, the northern source Jurong River originates from the southern foot of Baohua Mountain in Jurong City, and the southern source Lishui River originates from East Lushan Mountain in Lishui District, Nanjing. The two rivers converge into the main stream of Qinhuai River in the village of Fangshan Dai Northwest, Jiangning District, Nanjing, and flow around Fangshan to the northwest to the outer city gate Shangfang Gate from East Water Pass into Nanjing City, and cross the main city of Nanjing from east to west, and flow out from West Water Pass in the south and inject into Yangtze River.
The Qinhuai River is the largest regional river in Nanjing. Historically, it has been known as the mother river of Nanjing for its navigation and irrigation functions, and has nurtured the ancient civilization of Nanjing.
