On the afternoon of May 5th, the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange launched a live on-campus check-in activity of Hello,NJITT for the freshmen of Class 21 foreign students who were unable to come to China due to the epidemic. The activity was conducted through the Dingding platform.
Teachers from Guohe Office and Chinese student volunteers took the campus sightseeing bus from the west gate of the school to live broadcast the whole process. Along the way, they passed the upright teaching building, the sparkling Swan Lake, the spacious and bright library, the vibrant Xingjian Hall, The green grass playground, the simple and atmospheric canteen, the clean and tidy student apartments and other campus landmarks and beautiful scenery. Everywhere and every scene, the volunteers gave detailed explanations to the international students, introduced the functional divisions of the campus patiently, and shared their experience as seniors and sisters, which enhanced the understanding of the campus for international students. The international students in the live broadcast room exclaimed that the school is so big and beautiful and I really want to go to China soon.
In order to help the international students experience the learning environment immersively, the volunteers also led the international students to visit the training rooms of professional courses such as the School of Electronic Information Engineering, the School of Transportation Management and the School of Rail Transit, and experienced the Chinese calligraphy studio of the Department of Humanities and Arts and the In the classroom for international students, the students were curious about the various equipment in the training room, and expressed their greetings and thanks to the professional teachers who met through the screen.
This live broadcast allowed the 21st-level international students to understand the campus environment intuitively, truly and vividly, and enhanced their recognition and sense of belonging to the school.
