Suqian, abbreviated as Su, alias Water City, ancient names such as Xiaxiang, Suyu and Zhongwu, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, located in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, northern Jiangsu Province, is a regional comprehensive transportation hub in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, located in the heart of Xuzhou, Lianyungang and Huai'an, and is an important gateway city for the coastal region of Jiangsu Province to the central and western radiation. Suqian is the hometown of Xiang Yu, the King of Western Chu, with more than 5,000 years of civilization and 2,700 years of city history, once the capital of the State of Suribachi, the State of Zhongwu and the State of Suqian, with a long history and a wealth of humanities, known as the veins of Chinese civilization, the roots of Jiangsu civilization, the source of Huaihe civilization, the soul of Chu and Han culture. Suqian is one of the birthplaces of wine culture, and has the title of the capital of Chinese liquor, where Yanghe and Shuanggu are the two most famous liquors.
